The Metcalfe Community Association (MCA) is a group of like minded volunteers that represent the village of Metcalfe and surrounding areas. From organizing the Metcalfe Christmas Parade; planting and maintaining the flower planters throughout the village; hanging the Remembrance Day banners; hosting the Fall Feast Dinner; our youth committee working all year round on FUNdraising initiatives or installing the Christmas lights in Victoria Park, the MCA members work hard all year to make Metcalfe the best place to live, work and play.

Our 9 Hole Course & 18 Hole Course are both nestled among mature trees and intertwining creeks and streams, make them truly scenic golf experiences. Hickories offers an al la carte lunch and dinner menu during the golf season. We are also open for functions all year, such as weddings and holiday parties, as well as our own special meals.

IT EXPANDS OVER 2,000 ACRES IN SOUTH OTTAWA, ONTARIO AND WE ARE PRESENTLY INCORPORATING OUR THIRD GENERATION OF FAMILY… We aim to be a premium full blood Wagyu and Angus supplier for the availability of top quality beef and a source of education on the benefits of full blood Wagyu raised locally. We look to share our understanding and passion of the Wagyu full blood breed as part of your culinary delights for your everyday recipes to your gourmet entertaining events. Great for seasonal events with our Roasts, Ribeye’s, Striploins, Tenderloins, Denvers, Sirloins, Braising Ribs to Briskets for smoking and any assortment of ready-made patties all in vacuum sealed packaging. We offer this great assortment in 10, 15 and 20 lb assortments in gift boxes built to your specifications. We can also offer quarter or halves cut and wrapped Wagyu or Angus, ready for pickup. Our beef is shipped in clear vacuum sealed packaging. Each package is labelled with weight and cuts with our VFL stamp of approval. Where it all began Velthuis Farms Limited (VFL) is a family run operation that was established in 1959 and we are a Dairy and crop and recently a Beef operation. It expands over 2,000 acres in South Ottawa, Ontario and we are presently incorporating our third generation of family into our operations. In 2017 after a visit at a high-end restaurant in Toronto we experienced fine cuisine. On the menu we stumbled across authentic Wagyu, which was being offered, upon further research we discovered the truly superior qualities and health benefits to regular beef. The Wagyu full blood line is the only breed that has intermuscular marbling, which takes the culinary experience to a whole new level for texture and taste. Also, it was clear that there was a lack of availability of full blood Wagyu while there was a demand from local meat connoisseurs and restaurateurs. We acquired in 2018 full blood Wagyu and started a full breeding program so we could source our own home-grown local supply. Our focus is on authentic famous Wagyu beef genetics and raising it with the emphasis to top quality care and compassion for the breed.
